Keynote: Does Policy grow on Trees? Towards a Code of Conduct / 18:00, 01.10.2023 IWH

What regulatory options are there to promote the responsible processing of sensitive data in the area of human genomic research? Which regulatory methods are best suited to reconcile the freedom of research and the data protection rights of those affected? Can scientists contribute to regulation? How can international data exchange be supported ethically and legally? How can the different regulations in different countries be bridged in order to enable research while at the same time ensuring a high level of protection for those affected?

Professor Bartha Maria Knoppers will explore these questions as part of her lecture:

Does Policy grow on Trees? Towards a Code of Conduct

on Sunday, October 1st, at 6 p.m., at the International Academic Forum Heidelberg (Hauptstraße 242, 69117).
